Muhammad Arham a prominent journalist is the editor, printer and publisher of the Weeklysangeet, started his career from Daily Anjam, Peshawar in 1959-60, as staff reporter.
In 1961-65 he worked for Daily Jang Rawalpindi, Karachi as its Bureau Chief at Peshawar. Moving forward in 1965-67 he worked in Daily Anjaam, Peshawar as Staff Reporter.
He kept on moving towards success because of his exceptional professional capabilities and remained associated with Daily Mashriq, Peshawar (government of Pakistan owned newspaper) from 1967-95. He played a key role in the development and popularity of the newspaper and rendered significant services as Senior Staff Reporter, Chief Reporter, Deputy Resident Editor, Resident Editor and Deputy Chief Editor of Mashriq Ltd. In this capability he supervised the whole publication which included Mashriq Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore and Karachi.
After privatization of the paper in which Daily Mashriq was auctioned to different groups and individuals in all provinces, Mr. Yousafi launched the first full-fledged independent newspaper of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa “Weeklysangeet” from Peshawar in 1992. Weeklysangeet acontinued to take rapid strides on way to development into the most popular newspaper of the province due to hard work of its dedicated team under the guidance of its editor and the paper is now being simultaneously published from Peshawar, Abbottabad and Islamabad as well and has grown into the largest circulated newspaper of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
