Court orders FIR against Salman Khan for hurting Hindu sentiments with Aayush Sharma-Warina Hussain’s Loveratri
The upcoming film, Loveratri marks the debut of both Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain. The makers are releasing songs and trailers of this flick and all of them have already started impressing the audience. The movie will be hitting the theatres on October 5 but before that, this Salman Khan venture has hit a roadblock. The movie has landed itself in a legal soup due to its name. Court has given orders to file FIR against the Bharat actor.
Court has ordered to lodge FIR against Salman and seven other actors. According to the latest buzz, the complaint reports that the film’s title has allegedly hurt Hindu sentiments. ANI tweeted, Bihar s Muzaffarpur Court gives orders to file FIR against Salman Khan and 7 other actors after a complaint was filed by an advocate against him and his production Loveratri alleging that the title of the film hurts Hindu sentiments. [sic] For the ones who don’t know, the movie’s title Loveratri is coined from the Hindu festival Navratri, that is celebrated for nine long days. During this time, goddess Durga is worshipped.
This is not for the first time that the movie has faced trouble for its unique title. It left VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) upset earlier this year as they found it offensive. International working president of the VHP, Alok Kumar earlier told PTI, We will not allow its exhibition in cinema halls in the country. We don t want the sentiments of Hindus to be hurt. The film is set against the backdrop of Navratri, a Hindu festival, and the name distorts its meaning.
